What’s the body farm? It is a research facility at the University of Tennessee where students that are studying forensics can learn about the many phases of decomposition of bodies. There are hundreds of corpses in a variety of states of disrepair. Some bodies are over ground and many others are buried.

Angie’s sister has died and the death was ruled a suicide. Angie doesn’t think her sister committed suicide in double bass for sale. The difficult part is that Angie has to establish her accusations.

Dr. Brockton agrees to assist Angie. In addition, he considers that Angie’s sister was murdered since suicide by shotgun is infrequent, especially among women. As he’s beginning his investigation into Angie’s sister’s death, some odd things begin to occur.

A puppy has discovered not one but two skulls which wind up belonging to adolescents. These skulls also appear to comprise fractures. Their search to recognize the victims leads them into the North Florida Boy’s Reformatory. A diary, apparently written by one of the pupils, was discovered and maintained that one wrong move could land a boy in the Bone Yard. As Dr. Brockton continues his analysis, he finds opposition from the regional Sheriff. Why? What is the Sheriff hiding?

Are Angie and Dr. Brockton able to find the answers that will clarify how her sister really died? What is happening with the next mystery involving the skulls?

The writing team of Jefferson Bass isn’t short on details regarding the body farm. Some of the details will make you cringe as you’re reading this publication. The Bone Yard calls for a mystery within a mystery. What’s that for a double cure? The majority of the action occurs beforehand but the exciting part is following Dr.

Brockton and observing him with his experience so as to put all of the pieces of the puzzle together to obtain the truth. The forensic details make for an interesting read and one that is educational for your reader. I have enjoyed several of the books written by the group of Jefferson Bass. The Bone Yard really held my attention and I could not wait to read the next chapter. If you enjoy investigations involving forensics, The Bone Yard is essential to read.
